I first read “Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk” in my early 20s and it had a huge impact on me. It introduced me to bands that are now some of my favourites and presented to me a new way of writing – one that is relaxed, knows no boundaries, shocks you, and even makes you ill.
I’m re-reading it for the first time now, over a decade later, and it’s still disturbing the way it makes me feel. This is a book for anyone who has any interest in music, culture and art as the people in it helped shaped the world we are currently living in.
